About Our Guest: Kristin K.

When we put out a call to find people who hate to cook, Kristin immediately reached out:

I’m a single mom to two (10 & 12) who works a full time job and a part time job (M-F 3:30-6:30) plus add in basketball practice, games, baseball practice, games, and after school art school. One of my kiddos will eat almost anything and my other, well, just asking her to think about looking at a vegetable can bring on a panic attack. She loves meat and will send a steak back if they’ve overcooked it.

I love the idea of cooking. I love watching cooking videos on TikTok & IG. I read and collect cookbooks. Martha Stewart’s Everyday Food magazine was my favorite and I had every issue.  I actually used to love cooking and would do it frequently. I can follow a recipe, but I’m not one who can look at a bunch of ingredients and make something amazing. Now, just thinking about planning, I’m overwhelmed. I want to love cooking again. I want to feed my kids good food, but currently my dinner is usually things with things and theirs is ramen or pizza.
